Banigala, Campus
Urdu Educator - Middle Years (Lead)
We are looking for an Urdu Educator to lead our middle years Urdu program at Edopia's Banigala campus.
This is a full-time lead position. You will be responsible for two things: leading Urdu language and literature for Grades 7 and 8, and teaching an Easy Urdu stream for students who are working at a beginner or simplified level.
Position Overview
You will be the anchor of Urdu in the middle years. That means you are not just delivering lessons, you are setting the standard for how Urdu is taught, how students relate to the language, and how the program develops over time.
At the same time, the Easy Urdu stream asks for a different kind of skill. Teaching students who are less confident in Urdu requires patience, creativity, and the ability to make the language feel accessible without watering down its richness.
What You Will Do
Lead Urdu language and literature classes for Grades 7 and 8
Plan and teach Easy Urdu sessions for students working at a beginner or simplified level
Design lessons that build reading, writing, comprehension, and oral expression in Urdu
Adapt your approach across different levels, strong Urdu students and those still finding their footing in the language
Assess student progress clearly and communicate findings with the team
Contribute to the development and consistency of the Urdu program in the middle years
What We Are Looking For
Strong command of Urdu; spoken, written, and literary
Experience teaching Urdu at the middle years level
The ability to teach across levels from students who are fluent to those who are just beginning
Skill in making Urdu feel relevant and engaging to students who may not naturally gravitate toward it
A lead mindset someone who takes ownership of a program, not just their own classroom
Patience, consistency, and genuine care for how each student is progressing
What Matters Here
Urdu at this age can be a complicated thing. Some students arrive with a strong foundation; others are working through the basics. What we need is someone who holds both groups with equal seriousness who does not let the stronger students coast and does not let the struggling ones fall behind quietly.
A lead educator at Edopia is also someone who thinks beyond their own lessons. We want someone who is paying attention to where the program is going and contributing to making it better.
How to Apply
Apply through our form and include a short note about your background, your experience teaching Urdu at the middle years level, and how you approach teaching students who are at very different levels within the same program.
