Join Our Team as a Math Educator MYP

We are looking for a Math Educator for the MYP years at our Banigala campus.

This role is for someone who can teach mathematics with strong academic standards while still remembering that children are not machines for solving problems.

We want someone who takes the subject seriously and can help students do the same.

Position Overview

You will teach mathematics to older students in a way that is rigorous, well-structured, and intellectually honest.

You should be able to help students move from confusion to understanding without oversimplifying the work or reducing it to memorised procedure.

This role requires both subject confidence and human judgment.

What You Will Do

• Teach mathematics with clarity, rigor, and consistency

• Build strong conceptual understanding as well as procedural fluency

• Plan lessons, tasks, and assessments that support deep learning

• Track student progress and intervene where support is needed

• Prepare students for increasing academic challenge

• Help create a classroom culture of effort, honesty, and sustained attention

• Contribute to the wider life of the school

What We Are Looking For

• Strong academic background in mathematics or a related field

• Experience teaching middle or upper years students

• Ability to explain difficult ideas simply and accurately

• Strong classroom presence and good judgment

• Respect for rigor without harshness

• A willingness to keep refining your own practice
