Banigala
Coding & Game Development Coach
At Edopia, every child has a ustad. Each day, for an entire term, they sit inside one chosen pursuit with sustained attention; one term, one thing, all the way through. Coding is one of these concentrations, and we are looking for someone who can hold that space with real skill and real care.
This is not a computer lab class where children click through a fixed syllabus. It is a chance for children in EYP and MYP to build things that are theirs; games, robots, small working ideas and to learn what it means to think in code.
Position Overview
You will guide children through coding and game development as a serious pursuit, not a novelty. The work moves from Scratch and Roblox Studio to Arduino-based robotics and basic web and game development, with safe and thoughtful use of AI tools woven in. What matters is not how much ground you cover, but whether children leave your sessions able to think through a problem, try something, get it wrong, and try again with more understanding than before.
What You Will Do
Teach coding and tech to EYP and MYP students across a range of tools and projects
Guide Arduino-based robotics projects from concept to working build
Instruct Scratch, Roblox Studio, and game and web development
Introduce safe and effective AI prompting as part of the toolkit, not a shortcut around thinking
Mentor students in setting SMART goals and working through problems on their own
Build a culture of creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in every session
Assess progress and give personalized, specific feedback
Organize coding showcases and exhibitions where children present what they have built
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, AI, or a related field
Strong English communication skills, spoken and written
Solid programming and digital tech knowledge across the tools above
Teaching or coaching experience preferred, or strong tech skills paired with a genuine passion for working with young people
A real interest in helping children grow and think through technology, not just use it
What Matters Here
We are not trying to produce children who can follow instructions on a screen. We want children who can sit with a problem, try an idea, watch it fail, and figure out why. Your job is to notice where a child is stuck, ask the right question instead of handing over the answer, and let them build the confidence that comes from actually working something out.
Working Details
On-site, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, 16 days a month.
How to Apply
Apply through our form and tell us about a project you have built or guided a child through, and what you learned from watching them work on it.
